Mixed Media Altered Shadow Box

Hi Crafty Friends,  I'm here today to share an Altered Shadow Box for Mixed Media Place October Challenge!
I just Love fall colors,  being in the desert we really don't have a "Fall" season,  we go from extreme heat to "Cooler" temps and when I say "Cooler" I mean upper 80's!!!  I truly miss the Fall scent in the air and the crispness in the air with temperatures getting colder before that first snowfall.

Here is my Mixed Media Altered Shadow Box from Prima embellishments.  I created background texture using Finnabair Art Stones and White Sand Texture Paste then used Art Alchemy Liquid Acrylics Carmine,  this color is amazing,  it looks super dark red but when you dilute it with a little bit of water it changes to a deep burnt orange.

I love using Tim Holtz transparent Wings on my projects,  they're so fun and whimsy!

I painted some diecut leaves with some Art Alchemy Acrylic paints and started added my embellishments.

I added some metal embellishments from Finnabair and Flowers from Prima.

The last finishing touches I added were Say it with Chrystals,  Beads, sequins and microbeads.

Here is a good look at the different shades you can achieve using the Carmine Liquid Acrylic paint.

I really love this challenge because it helps me get creative with different colors that I don't normally create with.
Go check out DT's project at Mixed Media Place and be sure to check out the entries so Amazing and inspiring!

Happy Creating!
