Today I have a Mixed Media Canvas! When I first started out with this canvas I wanted to use pastel colors and in my mind I could see splashes of color. Once I started spraying the inks I didn't like how it was turning out. I finally quit with the inks and let it dry. I added some more colors with Inka Gold for some shimmer, it was looking better. So I continued with my creating! Once I added ReneaBouquets Tiny Treasures Sweet as Candy Butterflies I knew it was going to be pretty.
All the added microbeads, sequins, art stones, flatback rhinestones really added to this canvas!
I love to create lots of texture on my projects!
When I create Mixed Media canvases I like to go thru my stash of flowers and other embellishments that aren't my favorites and I try to use them, they get a coat of Gesso and once you spray them they are renewed with a fresh look!
Here is my layout! When I first glanced at the color scheme colors I had no idea what or how I was going to create what I had in my head. I actually started recording a YouTube process video but after the background work I wasn't sure if it was going in the direction I hoped so I stopped the video. At the end of this post I will have the quick process video.
Love me some microbeads, glitter, beads, art stones and sequins for more texture and sparkle!
I wish I could capture the embossing I created on this chipboard piece, Lindy's Stamp Gang Limited Edition April Embossing Powders were so Gorgeous to create with! I love adding lots of layers with their embossing powders, it really adds so much texture and interest to any project!
I also created a small shaker element to my layout surrounded by a chipboard circle that was embossed with powders.
Hey Crafty Friends Phyllis here again with a Gorgeous Pretty in Pink Layout! I woke up early this morning and wanted to make good use of my time before my crazy busy day started so I created a layout and I was able to get a youtube tutorial recorded!
I created alot of texture with stamping, stenciling and also lots of embellishments. I gotta have my texture!
Oh my goodness there are so many Gorgeous new items at Reneabouquets, take a peek at her store!
I really love Prima's new flowers, they're so Gorgeous!!!
As usual I added lots of microbeads, glitter glass, art stones and sequins for added interest and texture!
Here is my layout! This picture of my kids is one of my favorites! Each one of them have such different personalities and have different strengths, I say Dare to Dream Big! Don't settle for just your Dream but go after it with all of who you are!
I used the checkered stencil to represent each block is a building block on who they are becoming!
I used an embossing powder that looked like it was going to be that rust color but once I heated it on the black paper it looked more burnt!
