Take Your Time Mixed Media Plaque inspired by Art Daily Cafe Cornucopia-August 2020

Hey Crafty Friends,  how is everyone doing?  Hopefully you're getting some crafting time in!
I was inspired to try Art Daily Cafe Corncucopia August 2020 moodboard!  If you have time check it out!
I created on a Prima Vintage Wall Decor Base using lots of Finnabair products,  Scrapaholic and Reneabouquets supplies.
For the technique image transfer I grabbed an image from Finnabair's Vintage photobooth sticker sheet.  I had to watch a video on how to transfer the image.  It only took 3 tries!  LOL!
You're supposed to let the image dry overnight,  I was impatient the first 2 times and tried rubbing off the paper.......BAD mistake!!!  Be patient!!!  I really enjoyed the process after I let it dry overnight but you still have to be careful!

I did some stenciling with White Sand texture paste then I used some Finnabair's Liquid Acrylic paints.  I also used Finnabair's moulds for embellishing.  I also added some Art Stones for added texture!
I used Frank Garcia's Resin Frame and used wax on it and then added some microbeads.  Once the Leafy vines and Cogs and Wings mould pieces were almost dry I painted them with different Liquid Acrylic paints then added Rust Effects paste Gold Rust.  I also painted the chipboard pieces from Scrapaholic with those same paints.  For the Art Pebbles I used an Acrylic paint.

Once everything was in place I added Finnabair metal embellishments,  Prima Flowers,  beads,  sequins,  Glass Glitter and microbeads.

In the end this turned out way better than I thought,  at the beginning when I was using paints it wasn't looking so good but I kept playing!
Thank you Art Daily Cafe for having this fun monthly challenge,  it's another place for me to join the fun and also gets me out of my comfort zone to try new and fun ideas!  It also gives me another chance to use my favorite mixed media products from Finanbair!

Thank you for stopping by!

Be Brave Mixed Media Entry for Finnabair Art Recipe June Challenge

Hi Crafty Friends!  I have joined the monthly challenge at Finnabair's Art Recipe June Challenge!  The colors were definitely a challenge and that's why I love this challenge!  I created a Mixed Media piece *Be Brave* using lots of Finnabair products!
I used Unicorn Effect Paste thru a stencil for my background texture,  once it was dry I sprayed Color Bloom 2 Fairy Pond and I also added Art Alchemy Metallique Acrylic Paint Deep Waters.  I also added Art Alchemy Carmine Liquid Acrylic Paint (this was the closest color to Red that I had in my stash) and I sprayed water to spread the paint,  it blended with the Deep Waters and I love how it turned out.

For the Cream I painted Art Extra Vagance Texture Fantasy Cream to a metal flower,  after glueing tissue paper to the wings I also painted them with the Texture Fantasy Cream Paste and my last Cream I added some Tulle Trim behind the Steampunk Cameo chipboard piece.

I used Art Alchemy Wax Mystic Turquoise to the Metal embellishments and Opal Magic Wax Green Brocade for a finishing touch to the metal embellishments.

I always love adding more texture so I get my beads and microbeads out to finish my project!  I hope you are inspired to try these colors it is so fun!

Listen To Your Heart Mixed Media Tag

Hey Crafty Friends I'm here with another Mixed Media project I created for Finnabair's Art Recipe Challenge for April.  I really love this challenge because it truly is a challenge for me,  the colors are not what I usually grab to create with.  I had to dig in and create something for this challenge!
I used Prima and Finnabair packaging for my "canvas" to create a tag.  I used Finnabair's Floral Net stencil although you can only see a hint of it.  I painted my mould shapes with Finnabair Acrylic paint and then added FinnabairWax.  Then I heat embossed green and lavender to my chipboard piece then added Art Alchemy Acrylic paint in Fairy Wings to add to the chipboard panel.

I used Finnabair's Decorative Flutter Tissue paper,  cut it out and glued it with 3D Soft Gel onto black cardstock then cut it out.  I cut it in half and started placing some of my embellishments for my design.  This added a nice beginning layer for all my other elements.

For my "Wings" mould pieces I added more of Finnabair's decorative Flutter Tissue Paper to the wings using 3D Soft Gel.

I grabbed my Art Ingredients Gold Leaf Mica Flakes along with beads,  glitter and microbeads to add more bling and texture.

I added more Finnabair embellishments for more interest.

I flicked some Art Alchemy Acrylic paints for sprinkles and splats of paint.

I also used a lid from Finnabair's Art Pebbles jar and I cut it to make it look like a flower.

So "Listen To Your Heart" and go play along with Finnabair's Art Recipe Challenge!  Check out the talented DT too!!!
