Mixed Media Altered Shadow Box

Hi Crafty Friends,  I'm here today to share an Altered Shadow Box for Mixed Media Place October Challenge!
I just Love fall colors,  being in the desert we really don't have a "Fall" season,  we go from extreme heat to "Cooler" temps and when I say "Cooler" I mean upper 80's!!!  I truly miss the Fall scent in the air and the crispness in the air with temperatures getting colder before that first snowfall.

Here is my Mixed Media Altered Shadow Box from Prima embellishments.  I created background texture using Finnabair Art Stones and White Sand Texture Paste then used Art Alchemy Liquid Acrylics Carmine,  this color is amazing,  it looks super dark red but when you dilute it with a little bit of water it changes to a deep burnt orange.

I love using Tim Holtz transparent Wings on my projects,  they're so fun and whimsy!

I painted some diecut leaves with some Art Alchemy Acrylic paints and started added my embellishments.

I added some metal embellishments from Finnabair and Flowers from Prima.

The last finishing touches I added were Say it with Chrystals,  Beads, sequins and microbeads.

Here is a good look at the different shades you can achieve using the Carmine Liquid Acrylic paint.

I really love this challenge because it helps me get creative with different colors that I don't normally create with.
Go check out DT's project at Mixed Media Place and be sure to check out the entries so Amazing and inspiring!

Finnabair Art Recipe Challenge for October Entry

Another Fun Challenge at Finnabair Art Recipe Challenge October
I'm back with a small Mixed Media Tag using lots of Finnabair products!  I am recycling the packaging and started creating texture using Art Extravagance Stone Effect Pumice Paste and White Crackle Texture Paste then I added Art Alchemy Metallique Royal Blue and Hazelnut Acrylic Paint to the background.

I grabbed embellishments including an assortment of Finnabair Mechanicals and started creating my design.

The White Crackle Texture Paste shows up ever so slightly!  I painted the Star chipboard pieces with Art Alchemy Metallique Ancient Coin Acrylic Paint.

I added Art Stones and Glitter to the Mechanical Leaf embellishment and also added Gold microbeads.

Once I was happy with the placement of the embellishments I used Art Alchemy Green Brocade Opal Magic Wax on the edges of the entire tag!

I love using all Finnabair products,  so many different ways to use them!  I hope you get a chance to join the challenge,  it takes me out of my box!

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Creating!

My Entry for Finnabair's September Art Recipe Challenge

Wow did you see the Art Challenge for September?  This definitely was a challenge for me,  I don't usually use this color combination!  Once I quit thinking about what I was going to create I couldn't stop with embellishing!

I used Finnabair's Stencil-Flourish,  it's one of my favorite stencil for my mixed media projects!  The texture paste I used thru the stencil was another favorite of mine,  the White Sand Texture paste.  Once the texture paste was dry I painted over with Finnabair's Heavy White Gesso,  let that dry and then starting adding Liquid Acrylic Carmine and Prima's Color Bloom Worn Leather.

Once all the paint was dry I did alittle bit of stamping and then painted my old paint brush with Heavy White Gesso then added Brown Rust Effects to the metal part of the paint brush.  I also added the Cream Texture paste Fantasy to the wooden part of the paint brush.  I used some Finnabair Moulds and added more Cream Texture Paste Fantasy paint to the wings and star.  Once the texture paste was dry I then added Carmine to the wings and to the star,  diluted it with some water and let it dry.

I added Reneabouquets Handcrafted Dragonflies that went so amazing with the colors!  I gathered lots of embellishments from my stash and started glueing down everything.

To complete this tag I added Gold Rush Glitter Glass Art Ingredients.

Finnabair Art Recipe August 2019 Challenge

Hey Crafty Friends,  I've created a Mixed Media Tag for Finnabair's Art Recipe August 2019 Challenge!  The colors are so dreamy and fairytale which is one of my favorites!

I prepped my tag with Finnabair's Heavy White Gesso and
used Finnabair's Golden Nugget Effect Paste and a stencil for my background texture.  Once that was dry I used Finnabair's Azure Impasto Alchemy Acrylic paint and Wild Raspberry Color Bloom Spray.

I added Finnabair's Alchemy Sparks Unicorn Hair, Azure and Wild Raspberry to the stars I created using Finnabairs Moulds.

I also did some heat embossing to Reneabouquets beautiful board and on the Wing from Finnabair's moulds.

I added some fiber,  a crocheted doily for the sand color.

Then I added Prima Marketing Flowers,  microbeads,  sequins for layers.  I had some diecuts in my stash that I used for more layering.

In my stash I had some Tim Holtz transparent wings,  I stacked them on the Fairy chipboard from Reneabouquets then I searched in my metal embellishment stash for the perfect piece and it was Finnabair's metal screw on embellishment.

I wanted to add more interest so I used Finnabair's Art Ingredients Art Pebbles and painted on the back with some glitter and also Alchemy Sparks Unicorn Hair,  I love how they turned out!

I found "Just Believe" in my sticker stash which completed my theme!
I am always inspired by Finnabair's DT and love anything Finnabair/Prima products!
This challenge is always so much fun!  Thank you Finnabair!
Happy Creating!!!
